The energy and vibe were amazing, and the people felt so genuine and real. … I almost cried three times, but mostly because it was such a touching space to be in. It felt so easy to just connect and not worry about making mistakes or getting the moves right. I had such a good time, and I am so happy and grateful you guys are creating this event. Thank you.
My key take aways from Cocréa are the power of listening, invitation (consent tools), conversational dance, and EMBODIED dance.
YUBA FLOW FUSION: A CELEBRATION OF MOVEMENT & CONNECTION
We return for another season of Yuba Flow Fusion classes and social dance, where movement becomes conversation, strangers become dance partners and community comes alive through music.
At the core, our take on Fusion is an invitation to slow down, listen to your body, explore authentic connection and discover the joy of moving together. Whether you’re stepping onto the dance floor for the first time or returning to the dance floor after a long break, there’s always a room for you here.
Come as you are, meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces and celebrate life through the beautiful language of dance.
No perfect steps or partner needed, just curiosity, a willingness to drop into presence and a desire to share connection.

Wren LaFeet
Lead Facilitator • Director & Founder - Cocréa Mindful Partner Dance
Wren is an embodiment guide devoted to living in right-relationship as a Gaian Emissary and somatic permissionary.
Holding the prayers of integrity, intimacy and presence, Wren creates brave spaces for humans struggling with disconnection and longing for a deeper sense of BElonging, to come home to themselves through the body.
His body of work, Cocréa, synthesizes social partner dance, mindfulness, Taoism, the Gene Keys, the wisdom of watersheds, neuroscience and psychology in service of interpersonal connection that raises frequency through somatic inquiry and prompts positive change.
Wren is a TEDx speaker, Gene Keys Guide, featured author in “ReInhabiting the Village”, certified Attunement Therapy practitioner and HeartMath certified trauma sensitive somatic educator.
He began performing on stage when he was 6 years old.
Wren holds a BA in Drama and Dance and began dancing in 1998 at the height of the swing dance revival. An explorer by nature, he immediately starting to fuse dance styles, particularly swing, hip hop and contemporary movement in compositional and improvisational capacities.
He lives on stolen land in the traditional homelands of the Nisenan people (so called Nevada City/Grass Valley, CA), in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of the watershed known in the native language as Uba’Seo.
He gives praise and homage to the many women in his life that have been his teachers and guides, particularly his Cocréa co-founder and former partner, Antje Schäfer, his mother, Kristin Mineah, Valora Hanko, who cracked him open to the inquiry of Love as the underlying nature of all things, and Malina Dawn, who’s depth and wisdom is still breaking him into wholeness.
He also bows deep to the men in his life who have gone through hell to give him this opportunity to share a different vision of masculine strength. Dennis Naumann, Frederick August Naumann, and Robert Barret Mineah, his Octagon brothers and his current VI Kings cohort.
Wren is currently receiving inquiries for 1 on 1 client work. Couples and individuals are welcome to book single sessions or work with Wren for 3-month Embodied Connection coaching containers. Learn more at WRENLAFEET.COM

Brenée Roussel
Cocréa Facilitator
With roots in authentic movement and ecstatic dance, Brenee’s path has been shaped by a lifelong devotion to the body as a site of wisdom, healing, and belonging. As the first graduate of Cocréa’s facilitator training, she brings a rare depth to the dance floor — one forged through years of accompanying people through the most vulnerable and transformative thresholds of their lives.
Her work as a birth doula lives at the heart of her teaching. Having held space at the edge of emergence, she understands intimately what it means to release control, trust sensation, and surrender into something larger than the thinking mind. She carries that same quality of presence into every class — creating conditions where dancers feel genuinely safe to soften, to not-know, and to meet one another with full attention.
Brenee guides dancers into the art of genuine attunement — where the quality of your inner presence becomes the quality of your connection. She believes that deepening your relationship with yourself is the most generous thing you can offer a partner.
Beyond her own classes, Brenee is deeply woven into the fabric of the Cocréa community. She supports both the Facilitator and Foundation Trainings, helping to shape the next generation of mindful partner dance teachers. Closer to home, she co-hosts Yuba Flow Fusion in Nevada City alongside Wren — a gathering that brings the spirit of Cocréa into the heart of the Sierra foothills.
Her passion is to help dancers come home to their bodies, discover their own authentic movement signature, and experience the quiet revolution of being truly met.

Anna Durga
Cocréa Facilitator
Anna Durga is a somatic relational coach, bodywork practitioner, and entrepreneur rooted in Nevada County’s dance and healing arts community. She holds a BS in Natural Medicine, trained extensively in massage therapy, TCM, yoga, acro, and Pilates instruction, and ACE personal training, and has spent years deepening her facilitation skills through Gestalt work, IFS (Parts Work), Non-Violent Communication, Attachment Theory, and somatic awareness practices.
On the dance floor, Anna brings that same relational lens to fusion — teaching, DJing, and now coproducing events that treat partner dance as a living practice of consent, presence, and embodied connection rather than just steps. She’s an active member of the local Zouk and fusion scene, has facilitated movement-based experiences from local showcases to the Oregon Country Fair, and currently serves on the production team for the Sierra Zouk retreat.
She’s also a working improv performer and stand-up comic, which shows up on the dance floor as an ability to read a room, hold space for awkwardness without flinching, and keep things playful even when the material — consent, boundaries, vulnerability — is real. Expect her classes and MC moments to have more laughs in them than the average dance workshop.
As a coordinator of Yuba Flow Fusion, Anna is excited to bring her somatic coaching background into service of the event’s mission: using partnered dance as a doorway into deeper self-awareness, healthy boundaries, and authentic connection — themes she also explores through her coaching practice.
