Disconnect to Reconnect
PULSE Partner Dance and Cocréa Mindful Partner Dance are thrilled to expand on last year’s campout. Once again, we offer you a sanctuary where movement is medicine, connection becomes communion, and mindful partner dance stokes the fire of your most authentic self.
Join us for three delightful & transformative days in the rolling hills of Sonoma County for a heart opening, stress melting, community weaving, booty shaking good time. This isn’t just another dance weekend—it’s an invitation to slow your grind and realign to your heart in resonance with others.
What others say about their Pulse & Cocréa experience:
I appreciated so much of Wren’s teaching style, the wide spectrum of knowledge/wisdom, the somatic modeling and the poetic/playful articulation. Similarly felt with Rebecca, Elliot and Eric. Y’all made an amazing team!!
This campout was a really delightful way to drop in and connect person-to-person. The campout was facilitated beautifully, with classes and workshops and lots of time to just play and connect. I feel more integrated into the Pulse community now, and I’m really grateful for that.
Before this retreat I was feeling depleted, under nourished of touch, and seriously needing some fun. During the retreat I felt delightful connection, deep laughter, curiosity to learn, and safely held touch. I went home with a new touch point of what non-grasping, no longer over efforting really feels like in my body.

And we recognize the importance of sound quality and music curation.

PULSE x COCRÉA TEAM

Wren LaFeet
Facilitator + Instructor + DJ + Co-Producer
Wren is an embodiment guide dedicated to right-relationship in the 21st century. As a neurospicy dancer, trained actor and transformational movement facilitator, he weaves social dance, neuroscience, the Gene Keys, counseling skills, Taoist philosophy and more into his containers to foster connection, authentic presence and self mastery.
He is a TEDx speaker, featured author in “ReInhabiting the Village”, certified Attunement Therapy practitioner, HeartMath certified trauma sensitive educator and has taught Cocréa on 3 continents and 8 countries. He is currently studying to be a Gene Keys Guide.
Wren LaFeet has been instigating dance parties since 2008. Always working with an awareness of the room he’s in, Wren crafts dance sets that are sonic journeys facilitating deeper embodiment, connection and presence. His broad musical tastes and hyper-attuned facilitation skills offer a container for the numinous experience of spinaesthesia to emerge: seeing sound as movement and becoming the music.

Eric Spiegle
Producer + DJ + Song Facilitator
Eric Spiegel (he/him) is dedicated to improvisation and collaboration. To foster more of these practices, Eric offers his energy as a community connector and event organizer for Pulse Partner Dance and Sebastopol Contact Improv, and facilitates Collaborate Vocal Improv singing. As “DJ Spiegel”, Eric endeavors to gather a diversity of genres, tempos, textures, cultures of music and emotional evocations in order to bring us into connection with each other and the moment – and to remind us human animals that we exist today because our ancestors consistently made music and danced together, and with all of life.

Rebecca Berman
Instructor + DJ + Co-Producer
Rebecca Berman is a lifelong mover, musician at heart, and passionate facilitator of embodied partner dance. Teaching and organizing since 2007, she draws from a rich background in Lindy Hop and swing, and remains a devoted student of many movement forms—including Bellydance, Contact Improvisation, Bachata Sensual, and beyond.
Through playful improvisation and rhythmic exploration, she offers a space for dancers to listen—not only to the music, but to each other, to their own bodies, and to the unspoken language of presence. She believes movement is a gateway to joy, connection, and communion with the world around us—an invitation to move with both intention and ease.
Rebecca (aka Becs) is a co-founder of the Pulse Partner Dance Collective and Sebastopol Zouk, two organizations that reflect her love for community-rooted dance. She’s currently savoring a new chapter: Optical Engineer by day, Brazilian Zouk dancer by night, bringing the essence of her sweetly woven Sebastopol roots to the South Bay.

Elliot Katz
Producer + DJ + Experience Facilitator
As a co-creator of PULSE Partner Dance, Elliot Katz (aka DJ SyStemic) has a natural passion for curating evocative soundscapes for dynamic partner dance experiences. He strives to weave the melodic with the syncopated, the acoustic with the electronic, with playful and sensual connection at its core. As a facilitator, Elliot brings passion and authenticity to create containers of safety and exploration. He views the dance floor experience as a mirror for our inner lives, offering awareness and attunement to the human dynamics of power, consent and desire that play out in all our relations.

MEALS (not included in weekend ticket)
Meal Tickets will be available soon. You will be notified via email when meal registration is live.
We would love for as many meals to be shared as this is the most easeful arrangement for the container overall, and will allow us all to connect through shared meals and free up energy to learn and relax. We are hiring a local caterer who will cook organic ingredients into diverse meals. All meals will be vegan based, with animal-protein options to add on top (for those who pay for that additional ticket).
ADDITIONAL PARTICIPATION
Everyone attending is asked to contribute a minimum of 1-2 hours of time during the course of this weekend to help the container itself flow well. This can include the recognizable, common and very needed community-supporting tasks, such as space setting/cleaning, meal prep, doing dishes, etc.
BRINGING YOUR LITTLE LOVED ONES
While we have hopes that this event could be family friendly, that adds an order of complexity that we don’t feel able to take on in this year’s event, thus we are not able to accommodate folx under 18 years old. If you want to have a conversation about this, please reach for Elliot via email: elliotkatz6 [at] gmail.
NO PETS PLEASE.
Ready to Activate your Embodied Presence?
WAIT!
WHAT IS COCRÉA?!
Wow so glad you asked!
Cocréa is basically Fusion partner dance with an a strong streak of intentionality. It’s as much a path of personal development as it is an invitation and training ground to become a better dancer.
It sits playfully and sincerely at the intersection of Fusion, Contact Improvisation, Ecstatic Dance, relational coherence & authenticity cultivation as a practice for navigating life’s many changes.
Cocréa embraces form and structure that supports the flowering of powerful presence and intimacy with another and community using the architecture of the body and awareness to create space for freedom and play.
With partner dance as our vehicle, we incorporate fundamentals of mindfulness and ever refining practices for connection to awaken in the body. Our container is held by trauma sensitive educators* and consent informed, to support and guide you in a beautiful practice of attuned listening – both with the self and others – and stay in the fullness and truth of your experience.
As Cocréa’s movement roots are in American vernacular dance (Swing, Blues, Charleston and Hip-Hop primarily), the opportunity is ripe for the inclusion and honoring of other dance styles, forms and aesthetics, and the emergence of altogether new ones including the formless to co-create the dance.
Typically in the realms of Sacred Other and Community, practitioners remain standing while within Self, Earth, Music and Whole, there is an invitation to find expressions that explore other levels down to the ground, architecture of the space, configurations of partnering beyond couples and stillness in any form.
There is no fixed aesthetic.
The dance flourishes when there is clarity of invitation, elasticity in the connection, and a vividness of presence detached from outcome or agenda that we commonly refer to as delightful, delicious or “juicy”.
*Wren LaFeet is a HeartMath trained trauma sensitive educator.
