What happens when you slow down enough to truly feel another person?

This 2.5-day experience is an invitation into something deceptively simple: moving slowly with another human being, and discovering what opens when you do.

Through guided partner movement, we explore presence, trust, and the subtle art of listening with your whole body. No dance experience is needed — just a willingness to be curious and a body that’s ready to play.

Here’s what we know after 14 years of holding these spaces: slowing down is harder than it sounds. Being close to someone can feel vulnerable. Learning something new is humbling. And all of that is not only normal — it’s where the magic lives. You’ll be held in a small, intentional group of people navigating the same beautiful discomfort, supported by experienced facilitation that makes the unfamiliar feel safe, playful, and surprisingly nourishing.

What you’ll walk away with goes far beyond dance. Participants consistently tell us this experience shifts how they listen, how they communicate, and how they show up in their relationships — sometimes in ways they didn’t expect.

Come as you are. Leave more fully yourself.

My key take aways from Cocréa are the power of listening, invitation (consent tools), conversational dance, and EMBODIED dance.

Ashé Jordan

Pro Zouk Dancer and workshop participant

My experience at Wren’s Dance Your Medicine retreat was a total initiation.

The energy that Cocrea brings is one of really landing in the intimacy of the dance.

What stands out as one of my biggest takeaways is being able to more deeply feel the awe and wonder of my dance partner.

Harry Bo

Ecstatic Dance Philidelphia

You are a wizard! You make incredible magic happen between people (individuals and groups). You have x-ray vision right into the heart of what’s needed and then you offer the exact medicine for whatever that thing is and the medicine you share is playful, juicy and sweet, so it’s a joy to receive.

What to Expect

When we slow down and pay attention, something comes alive. Partner movement has a way of waking up parts of us that daily life keeps quiet — our aliveness, our warmth, our natural responsiveness to another person’s presence.

This weekend, we’ll explore that aliveness with care and intention. You’ll learn how to notice what’s happening in your own body, how to stay present with a partner, and how to let the dance be an honest conversation — sometimes playful, sometimes tender, sometimes surprising.

We hold this space with clear, shared agreements that everyone contributes to. Safety isn’t a backdrop here — it’s the foundation that makes real exploration possible. When you know the ground beneath you is solid, you can actually let go.

No previous dance experience is required. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to feel.

He holds a BA in Drama and Dance and began dancing in 1998 at the height of the swing dance revival. He immediately began fusing dance styles, particularly swing, hip hop and contemporary movement. He began performing in front of audiences at the age of 6 and as a neurospicy human, thrives when channeling his boundless energy, curious mind and empathetic capacity into service to others.

A devotee of the Gene Keys since 2013, he is currently training to become a Gene Keys Guide.

Myriem Corteville

Myriem Corteville

Co-Facilitator | Host

I am Myriem. French utopian, living in the mountains of Annecy.

Born and raised in the middle of Paris, I grew up with a strong contrast between modern city lifestyle and the ancient Berber wisdom transmitted by my Mum born in the mountains of Algeria, in the « Kabyle » tribe. She taught me the main indigenous values to face life’s changes: Trusting in life and in people—the importance of relationships to help each other and the intimate connection to art and dance.

Even if I never took any proper classes, I’ve always been passionate about dancing – first as a child with my Mum in parties, then in front of my mirror in my room as a teenager, to all the bars & night club I could find from the age of 14, then to animate seminars or to create a good morning flow in community project guiding people twerking before breakfast. I’ve also performed as a circus artist, ice skating dancer and English boxer (also a dance!).

My other passion has been gathering people and creating spaces for connection & magic and celebration of course! After doing it as training manager for L’Oreal luxury brands and supporting community based project such as Carpe Diem or Momentom Collective, I initiated Dreamland three years ago, receiving an immense feeling and intuition in my body that it was time to act and co-create new ways of living, transforming our society.

I am only 29 years old, and I have already lived through many transformations. Quitting my corporate successful careers, backpacking worldwide on my own, moving from Paris to the jungle, becoming a social entrepreneur and a Mum, birthing my child at home in the jungle, and finally… my biggest lesson: Losing both my parents and grandparents; accompanying them to their last breath.

Community living and Dance has been my main medicina on this path. Now that I complete my Cocréa facilitator training, I can clearly see how all this comes together. Both my personal journey and my professional expériences as a training manager, community leader, and event organizer led me to create transformative spaces and embodied journeys. Being a bridge to guide and support people in their process. Allowing each of us individually and collectively to create new stories for a co-creative society.
