Magic is what happens when we stop performing connection and start practicing it — in our bodies, with each other, on the dance floor.

CoNectar is Cocréa’s return to festival format after nearly seven years, and we’re bringing it home to Nevada City for the summer solstice.

Twenty-four hours of partner dance, live music, workshops, and the kind of presence that only happens when a group of people decides to become community by actually feeling each other.

This isn’t a spectator event. We dance together. We learn together. We rediscover what our wise bodies forgot about trust, play, and surrender — and we do it to some of the best music you’ll dance to all year.

Live Music & DJ Sets Honey of the Heart, Aguamayyim, and Sasha Rose headline an evening of live sound designed to move you from the inside out. DJs Wren LaFeet, Justin Riley, Brajan, Jordan River, Jung Grayvy, and Shimotomai keep the floor alive from afternoon through to the morning.

Workshops Wren LaFeet, Brenée Roussel, Usha Rose, and Jill Beam guide embodied explorations in partner dance, somatic connection, and relational presence — whether you’ve been dancing for decades or you’re walking in with nothing but curiosity, you’re going to walk away enriched, enlivened and most likely a bit more free.

What to Expect A day-into-night gathering where the longest day of the year becomes an invitation to move deeper into connection. No experience required. No roles assigned. Just your body, the music, and whoever’s standing in front of you.
